Water nexus research – challenges and strategies for a sustainable future

The DFG initiative UDIF-HAW invites to the matchmaking fair for German universities of applied sciences and scientists from Jordan on 15 February 2022 from 9.00 am to 1.30 pm (CET) entitled:

Water nexus research – challenges and strategies for a sustainable future

The research cooperation on water nexus will include research on links between water science and related topics such as energy, agriculture, food, health and the environment as well as socio-economic topics. Project ideas related to research on information technology in the context of water nexus are highly welcome. The principal aim of the meeting on 15 February is to bring together researchers from German universities of applied sciences of all disciplines with researchers from Jordan. Concrete project ideas can be presented during the two scheduled breakout sessions as can your research profile and domains of interest. The core part of the meeting will consist in open exchanges between researchers from different disciplines. Please find the programme here.

On the 10th of February 2022 from 16:00 to 17:30 the DFG will inform on the UDIF HAW initiative and on research funding formats during a virtual information event. The meeting will be held in English. During the virtual information event, supporting orientation will be given on:

  • the DFG initiative UDIF-HAW
  • research funding formats provided by DFG
  • information on the match making event “Water Nexus Research – Challenges and Strategies for a Sustainable Future” with Jordanian researchers on the 15th of February 2022
